Zero Balancing
Zero balancing is a relatively new massage therapy techique that is focused on aligning the bodies energies with the physical, skeletal, and muscular body. The practice makes use of western scientific principles along with more esoteric beliefs of eastern cultures with regard to mind and spirit.

A Zero Balancing Practicioner as these therapists are known, will work to enhance not just physical but mental and spiritual health as well. Zero balancing is as much a journey and understanding of the physical self as it is with the spiritual. Clients stay clothed and sessions usually consist of a 30 minute application of easy bending and gentle stretches.

Invented in 1973 by Dr. Fritz Smith a physician who wanted to find a way to align the bodies structural and spiritual components, Zero Balancing is quickly becoming one of the more sought after massage therapy applications. Sessions begin with an initial and always private consoltation with the masseuse where cients are encouraged to discuss their state of being, stress levels, emotional states and overall life position. From there the therapist will create a treatment plan focused on eleviating those stresses, chinks in our emotional armor and spiritual needs along with the physical aches, pains and other ailments that can be treated along side.

No oils or lubricants are used and the client routinely remains clothed while the practicioner applies gentle traction to limbs and fingertip pressure from the toes to the top of their head. Zero balancing has been found effective in treating anxiety and stress related issues as well as physical pain and chronic ailments.
