On Site Massage
On site massage is when the therapist goes to the client at his or her office or home. On site is the solution when the client has a disability, an event is temporary, or practical if a company wants in-house massage insentives.

Many clients are unable to routinely go to a therapist for physical mobility reasons. Or an office may be to far away for an elderly person to drive. Others like the convenience and familiarity of their own homes. Many events like conventions and trade shows are only in town for a couple days and have a large on site client base to draw from. Setting up an on site massage station could make a therapist a nice payday.

Many large and small companies are understanding the benefit of massage. When an employer hires the massage therapist to come to the office and give 5-20 minute sessions studies have shown productivity increases in office enviornments were on site massage therapy treatments were given as insentives. Office massage incentives have also proven to asiste in reducing repetitive use injuries.

Employees who have participated in office massage programs agree that having some of your stress relieved at the office at the expense of the company shows that they care about the well being of their employees and want them to stay healthy and happy.

Usually on site massage is performed in a semi private setting and is done with the client clothed and more often than not a massage chair is used rather than a table. Because of the short length of the session as well as the semi privacy issue, a chair makes more sense. They are extremel portable and allow for the client to sit in an extremely comfortable position. This seated position also allows fairly good access to primary massage areas.
