Massage & Burn Out
28 September 2011It has been five years in this Awesome profession, one thing I have learned is that Massage can be hard on the body. The way to avoid burn out best thing to do is to #1 Hello… Take care of yourself. #2 Take care of your self. And lastly #3 Take care of your self.
All the things you think your client should be doing is what you yourself should be doing..
Water, Good Food, Exercise, stretching, and of course Massage.
I read this great article entitled Five Ways to Avoid Burn Outs, read and apply it.
Get Educated About Massage
6 September 2011The Media is in the dark ages when it comes to proper information about Massage Therapists. You would hope by now people would be able to identify the huge and the subtle ques that make up a Therapeutic establishment vs. a brothel or “Massage Parlor”.
Thank goodness that along with the influx of professional Practitioners and popular Massage franchises, these misconceptions are slowly clearing. States that have previously not been regulated are coming into the fold, but not without the hardships. Many are finding setbacks in legislation, and people/organizations have worked hard to take the steps necessary to educate all who are involved so they can get the needed information across.
These dedicated people/organizations are the Hero’s of today in the Massage World. They are Educating and breaking down barriers, the process can be slow. So I tip my hat to all those who work hard for the building up of the Massage Profession.
