Time Vortex
4 June 2008With all this Time torpedoing past us it is June already. Our 2nd Quarter Taxes are due next month and it seems like I just put my foot on January 1st 2008. Catching up? Maybe its like sleep, my brother always told me there is no catching up on lost sleep there is just over sleeping. I could be binging on time and need to do what I tell everyone else to do all the time; Breathe. Hu…
I hear people say they will slow down when they are dead. I never thought I was one of “Them” I love a good movie every once and a while and I can sit all the way through it without feeling guilty or making myself get up and work on a project.
I have priorities set up with my 11 year-old daughter. I try and make sure all my work is done by the time she’s done with homework, so we can spend the night together. My personal belief is that the family comes first only after your well-being. I can’t run myself ragged providing for my family just to find out that I no longer have a family. They are strangers unaware of the sacrifices that have been made for their benefit.
Constant reflection on how I spend my time and making it profitable by prioritizing and executing my tasks may be the only way to satisfy this time vortex.
