Thinking About A Hot Stone Massage
2 April 2008Where do I start, well I was skeptical. Using rocks in a massage as a student just didn’t sound right. Then when I graduated there was a lot of talk about, hot stone massage this and hot stone massage that. It wasn’t until I had the great pleasure of working with my fellow room renter at our Acupuncture Clinic that I fully understood the awesome that is Hot Stones.
Right away she said to come in and see her to get a massage. What could it hurt? That is when I was hooked; she even walked me through my first stone massage and showed me the best ways to hold the rocks for better alignment and tricks of the trade. Then for my CEUs I got the Japanese Hot Stone book and DVDs. Can anyone say, best move ever?
Everyone that comes in with the exception of two of my regulars who love their hour and a half Deep Tissue Massages Love the hot stones. If you haven’t had a hot stone massage, I suggest you do so. If you work in a Therapeutic setting, this modality is for you.
Wishing you Luck in all your endeavors, have a great day.
