Check Out The Massage Therapy Foundation
16 January 2008The Massage Therapy Foundation was founded in 1990 by AMTA. Its Mission
“The Massage Therapy Foundation advances the knowledge and practice of massage therapy by supporting scientific research, education, and community service.” Here are the research grants that were given out in 2007.
I checked out Guidstar.com and found out that the President and the two Vice Presidents are the only ones who received compensation in the year 2006. I don’t know how much time the Pres. spent doing his duties that year but he made 1/2 my yearly income. A lot better distribution of non-profit funds then the NCETMB or the AMTA, but that is another story.
Overall I was impressed with the organization and I hope they can further the work they are doing to help improve the research, education and community services to advance our potential clients knowledge and our Massage Therapy community.
Massage Supply Tip
7 January 2008When buying your supplies online, it never hurts to call and ask if they have an additional discount or special going on. Sometimes you might even find a coupon online at another site that is an affiliate. Just a couple Google searches could lead to free shipping or 15% off your order.

Start The New Year off With A Massage
5 January 2008Happy New Year! Nothing is better then a little reward with a trip to your massage therapist. MT’s who don’t have a massage themselves are hypocrites. I have found myself in that category many times and always regret it 100% until I remedy it.
After being in school with 2-4 massages a week, to once a month really puts perspective on many things for me. I am upping my massages to every-other week. My friend and I are trading every Tuesday, what a great bargain, got to love it. I know I do.
This is also the time to write out goals and lists for priorities. CEUs are on my mind for my business and working hard on having the best Massage Exam website with the best questions and rational around. We are always improving on our sites and look forward to feedback on how we can make it better. Our think tank is limited to what we know and would want for ourselves, so it’s always nice to have fresh perspectives.
We hope to hear from all those who may benefit in anyway from our sites. May we all prosper for our efforts in this New Year.
